Re footnote 2 - would it not make more sense to use Stratford International than Ebbsfleet? It already exists, it’s underused, it’s a shorter journey from central London, and it’s already on the Elizabeth line! (Well, almost.)

I sympathise. I have a Google Doc that is a wasteland of articles I started, got most of the way through, and decided I hated.
Seems very sensible, and would make a return to the single market and customs union so much smoother
We had a look at a ‘queuing app’ for the crossing ten years ago - came up against some tricky enforcement challenges and conflicting incentives

Quite possibly! But... Ebbsfleet is nearer to my house...
