Big fan of the podcast and agree with the thrust of Martin's argument about the dangers to democracy of local council budget's increasingly going on statutory adult social care and children's services. But I wasn't sure where he got the stat that a third of his council tax is going on SEND transport. I know he lives in Bedfordshire; I had a look at Central Bedfordshire and it seems to be less than 10% of their revenue budget. For Bedford their total revenue budget spent on children with SEND seems to be around 25% - a third spent on just the transport seems very high.
