Hello! It’s this week’s Odds and Ends, your weekly round-up of interesting links and shorter takes. This week: A dive into what one aspect of Labour’s (surviving) climate plan might look like, my thoughts on the Apple Vision Pro, a recommendation for a much-overlooked TV show – and even a little games industry commentary with a crazy prediction.

So let’s get started!

O’Malleyism 2024: A conference where we talk about how to actually build the future (that may or may not happen)

A couple of days ago I sent out an email to gauge interest in me hosting a conference on what I rather narcissistically call O’Malleyism. Basically, I'm thinking a one-day thing on a Saturday, where we can talk about the sorts of issues I write about on here, like infrastructure, housing, climate and the Postcode Address File.

Anyway, since I sent the email out, I’ve had loads of positive feedback from you – which now makes me really, really want to do it.

If it sounds like something you’d like to come along to, then fill in this form to express your interest – and I guess I’ll start looking into whether hosting a conference is actually logistically possible.

Now, on with the links! And the first is very relevant to these conference themes.
