Odds and Ends #43: An awesome drone trial in central London, legalised e-scooters at last, and National Data Library progress
And yes, I am on Bluesky.
Hello! It’s time for Odds and Ends, your mini newsletter-within-a-newsletter, collecting all of the most interesting links and other things that I’ve seen this week. (Don’t worry, this week’s essay will land tomorrow.)
In the links this week I feature:
A surprising drone innovation… in central London.
Progress on the National Data Library mystery.
Good news about e-scooters.
And the TV show I’ve enjoyed the most recently.
Yes, I’m on Bluesky
Since the US election there Bluesky has experienced another huge influx of users. I’m still not entirely convinced that this time it will reach the tipping point that sees it overtake Twitter, but it does seem that a significant proportion of British political Twitter is trying to make it happen.
So I’ve hedged my bets, and have an account over there. You can find me at @jamesomalley.co.uk if you want to follow me.
Now let’s get on with the links!
