If you're really worried about bribery, why on earth would you be relaxed about a citizen's assembly? Its members would be much poorer on average than our current political leaders, and probably also less committed in their opinions - so they could be way more easily/cheaply bribed. If you're starving, "do me this favour and I'll make sure you can eat" is an offer you can't refuse. And on top of that, unlike MPs you can't vote out CA members if they turn out to be vessels for vested interests.
